Okay now I've had threesomes before. Once with a woman I was married to, once with just a girlfriend and her friend, and every time it has been a relationship killer. It takes a certain mentality and moral standing on all parties for it to work. Often the mere suggestion of a threesome is enough to kill the bond between two people. It signifies the desire for something more than what you offer both sexually and emotionally.
There are groups of people and whole subcultures of society that advocate and practice wife swapping, group sex, orgies, and much more. Even religions that advocate multiple wives, etc. The practice of having multiple sex partners is as old as sex itself and many argue that it's not part of our genetic makeup to be faithful to just one partner. And from what I've seen from the women I've dated this is clearly not the case as they are all mostly cheating whores.
In fact I've found that women cheat much more than men but they are much better at hiding it and very skilled at manipulation. Men essentially will believe anything a woman tells them as long as her mouth is around his cock 5 minutes later. Sad but true!
